Evergrande remain atop Chinese Super League after 2-1 win over Shenhua

A brace from Brazilian midfielder Alan handed defending champion Guangzhou Evergrande a 2-1 win over Shanghai Greenland Shenhua 2-1 at home.

Guangzhou Evergrande broke the deadlock in the 39th minute through a Alan shot, before Demba Ba equalized for Shenhua in the 67th minute.

Just two minutes later Alan was on target again to seal three points for Evergrande.

Beijing Guoan were held to a 1-1 draw with Chongqing Lifan. Guoan's player Zhang Xiaobin scored in the 81th minute, but only two minutes later, Liu Yu headed home for Lifan to equalize.

Elsewhere, Hebei China Fortune beat Liaoning 2-0 with goals from Jiang Ning and Dong Xuesheng, while Henan Jianye claimed a 1-0 victory over Hangzhou Greentown at home with Bralian Ivo's goal. Endit
