Somalia military court sentences 6 to death

Somalia military court on Saturday sentenced six people to death, five of them were behind terrorist bombings on Feb. 28 in Baidoa where more than 30 people were killed.

"The court sentenced six men to death penalty, five of whom were accused of being involved in the terrorist attacks in Baidoa town on Feb. 28. The sixth suspect is a government soldier who killed a civilian in Baidoa town," chairperson of the Court Liban Ali Yarow said.

This is the second time such judgment has been handed to the suspects.

Early this month, the military court carried out execution against former Al-Shabaab media officer Hassan Hanafi and two others who were behind the killing of female journalist Hindiya Haji Mohamed. Endit
