New Kyrgyz Cabinet sworn in

Xinhua, April 28, 2016 Adjust font size:

New Kyrgyz Prime Minister Sooronbai Jeenbekov and his Cabinet were sworn in on Thursday, said the government press service.

Jeenbekov and the ministers were sworn in at a session of the Kyrgyz parliament.

Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev on Wednesday signed a decree to approve the formation of a new government after the resignation of former Prime Minister Temir Sariyev on April 11 over a road construction project scandal.

Most former Cabinet members retained their jobs except the first deputy prime minister, the head of the government office and the transport and communications minister. Endi
