EU launches 10 socioeconomic projects in Republic of Congo

The European Union (EU) delegation in the Republic of Congo on Tuesday launched ten new socioeconomic projects that are aimed at improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable people.

The projects were co-financed to the tune of 5.3 million euros and targeted the fight against torture and arbitrary detention, protection of children, political freedoms, the fight against HIV/AIDS, health, waste management and agriculture.

The head of EU delegation in the country Saskia De Lang said through the projects, the EU has demonstrated its commitment to remaining a major development partner for the Republic of Congo. Endit
