-- The Rwandan government has dismissed media reports that Zambians living in that country were being attacked in the wake of looting and damage to shops belonging to Rwandans in Lusaka, the Zambian capital, last week.
Charge d' Affaires at the Rwandan Embassy in Zambia Abel Buhungu said the false publications were aimed at denting his country's good image and souring ties with Zambia.
Over 65 shops belonging mostly to Rwandese living in the Zambian capital were looted last week after rumors that foreigners were involved in a spate of ritual killings that had hit the city in which victims were found with body parts missing. (Times of Zambia)
