Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn will lead a delegation to attend the 5th Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on April 27-28 in the Chinese capital of Beijing, said a foreign ministry statement on Friday.

The participation in the forthcoming forum is made at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the statement said.

"The meeting will focus on mutual reinforcement of security and development, enhancement of international cooperation on combating terrorism and implementation of confidence building measures in various areas within CICA framework," it said.

The conference is expected to adopt the Declaration of the 5th Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CICA, it added.

CICA, comprising 26 member countries and having some countries and international organizations as observers, is an inter-governmental forum for enhancing cooperation towards promoting peace, security and stability in Asia.

China hosted the fourth CICA summit in Shanghai in 2014. It holds the CICA presidency from 2014 to 2016. Endit
