Singapore stocks close 0.37 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 10.83 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 2,960.78.

A total of 1.44 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.21 billion Singapore dollars (895.4 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 271 to 129, while 511 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 1.86 points, or 0.06 percent, to close at 2,949.95 on Wednesday. Endit
