16 teams to compete in Ghana domestic women' s league

The 2015/2016 Women' s League in Ghana will take off on April 16 across the country, the football association announced here on Friday.
The third edition of the nationwide league will see the 16 participating teams grouped into two sectors of eight teams each.
The top club from each zone will play a one-off match after the round-and-robin stage to decide the championship.
The president of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has reiterated the association' s commitment to ensuring the promotion and development of women' s football in the country.
The head coach of the Black Queens, Ghana' s senior national women' s team, Yussif Basigi, whose side has qualified for the Africa Women' s championship, said he was looking to scout the best available players for his team from the women' s league this season.
Hasaacas Ladies have won the trophy for the third consecutive time. Endit
