Xinhua, April 12, 2016 Adjust font size:

Senior Chinese legal official Meng Jianzhu met with Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan Kairat Mami here on Tuesday, pledging to step up bilateral judicial cooperation between two countries.

Calling China and Kazakhstan "sincere friends and close partners," Meng, China's top official in charge of political and legal affairs, said the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership has developed rapidly in recent years.

Meng, head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, called on both sides to implement well the consensus reached by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

China supports the two supreme courts in enhancing bilateral and multilateral exchanges and cooperation so as to provide a sound legal environment for the economic and social development in both countries and the region, he said.

Mami said Kazakhstan is willing to deepen judicial cooperation with China and contribute more to the good relationship between the two countries. Endi
