Xinhua, April 12, 2016 Adjust font size:

Two rocket projectiles fired from northern Syria hit southeast Turkey on Tuesday, injuring 6 people, including 3 in serious conditions, local Daily News reported.

The two rockets fired from northern Syria also fell to southeastern Kilis city center on Tuesday morning, said the report, adding that ambulances and first aid units were dispatched to the area immediately and security measures in the region were heightened.

On Monday, 12 people were wounded when multiple rocket projectiles fired from Syria landed in the border province of Kilis.

Meanwhile, the Turkish artillery began to shell spotted positions where the rocket projectiles came from.

Four people were killed and another four wounded in Kilis in two separate incidents on Jan. 18 and March 8 when rocket projectiles fired from the Bab region hit a school and a neighborhood.

Kilis is located adjacent to a roughly 100-km strip of border territory controlled by Syrian rebels. Endit
