Preparations for COP22 going well: official

The preparations for the 22nd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP22), to be held in Marrakech in November, are going according to schedule and deadlines are duly respected, COP22 Commissioner General Abdeladim Lhafi said here on Monday.

The preparations for COP22 are going well and deadlines are duly respected, especially in terms of setting the organizing committee, the design of fiscal governance mechanisms and the award of contracts for the development of the event venue, Lhafi noted.

The Commissioner General made the remarks at an information meeting held by the Moroccan Ministry of Economy and Finance in partnership with the COP22 Steering Committee.

The COP22 to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change is expected to take place from 7-18 November in Morocco. Endit
