Xinhua, April 11, 2016 Adjust font size:

China's meteorological authority forecast on Monday that a new round of torrential rains will batter the country's southern regions over the next two days.

Rainfall of up to 120 milliliters is forecast for parts of Jiangxi, Fujian and Guangdong provinces as well as Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the National Meteorological Center said in a statement on its website.

Guizhou, Hunan, Guangdong and Fujian provinces will also see strong winds and hailstorms.

Affected by a Mongolian cyclone and cold air, the country's northern regions will see light to moderate rain from Monday night through Wednesday, while some parts will be hit by heavy rain, the statement said.

The center also forecast dusty weather for southern regions of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region over the same period. Endi
