Gold up after Fed minutes release

Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange rose on Thursday as traders digested the minutes from the Federal Open Market Committee meeting, released after the market's close on Wednesday.

The most active gold contract for June delivery rose 13.7 U.S. dollars, or 1.12 percent, to settle at 1,237.50 dollars per ounce. Endit
