Mixed market reactions at the JSE on Thursday

There was a mixed reaction of the markets trading at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on Thursday .

The Top 40 was down by 0.13 percent to finish at 45,024.17 . The All Share Index also fell by 0.07 percent to end at 51,146.82.

The financials continued a losing streak by shedding 1.59 percent to close at 14,839.47.

The share price of major JSE listed companies also had a mixed performance at the close on Thursday. Kumba Iron Ore tumbled 5.65 percent settling at R86.00. First Rand Bank share price was down 2.12 percent to R43.95.

Bucking the trend, resources hit a positive moving up by 1.05 percent to close at 27,625.50.

Among positive performers, Anglo American gained 1.01 percent at R109.94 while Harmony Gold rose 5.35 percent to R57.9. Endit
