Top news items in major Ethiopian media outlets

The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Wednesday.

-- The annual digital diplomacy review has ranked Ethiopia 3rd in Africa and 76th worldwide in digital diplomacy.

Ethiopia is only preceded by Egypt and South Africa in the Continent in its digital diplomacy engagement.

The ranking was made based on the digital assets used by Ministries of Foreign Affairs (MFAs) from the beginning of 2015 to mid-March 2016. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- The Ethiopian National Disaster Risk Management Commission said it is providing emergency supplies to victims of flash flooding in Afar, Ethiopian Somali and Oromia regional states in Ethiopia.

The Commission also readied food and non-food supplies enough for 1.5 million people living in flood-risk areas.

A flash flood which occurred last week in Jigjiga town, Ethiopian Somali regional state, has claimed 15 lives, including 7 children. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- Youth and women should look for jobs locally as illegal migration exposes to the dangers of human trafficking, advised Ethiopian citizens recently repatriated from Middle East countries.
