Xinhua, April 6, 2016 Adjust font size:

Cambodia exported 162,220 tons of milled rice in the first quarter of 2016, an increase of 8.5 percent compared to the same period last year, according to a report on Wednesday.

The Southeast Asian country has exported its milled rice to over 50 countries and regions, said the report compiled by the Secretariat of One Window Service for Rice Export.

Three top buyers are China, France and Poland, it said, adding that China imported some 37,118 tons of milled rice from Cambodia during the January-March period this year; France imported 20,996 tons and Poland purchased 18,212 tons.

Cambodia produced over 9 million tons of paddy rice a year. With this amount, it has over 3 million tons of milled rice left over for annual exports. Endit
