St. Petersburg International Economic Forum scheduled for June

The 20th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) will be held from June 16-18, under the motto "Capitalizing on the new global economic reality."

The organizing committee of SPIEF has finalized the main program and conference activities of the forum, according to information on the official website of SPIEF on Friday.

Discussions during the forum will cover five main topics: "Stimulating demand, Seeking growth," "Realizing the economic potential of Russia," " The new geo-economic dynamics," "Navigating revolutions in technology," and "The human dimension."

The SPIEF program includes a SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Business Forum and a G20 Business Forum.

Within the scope of the 20th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the tradition of holding the Global Energy Awards Ceremony and the Energy Summit will be continued, with attendence of the heads of global fuel and energy enterprises.

In addition, a special session of the Valdai International Discussion Club and events of the Conversations with the Extraordinary Cycle are planned. Besides, the first Conference for Sustainable Development of the Arctic will be held on the sidelines of the Forum.

Established in 2004 and named after Lake Valdai in northwest Russia, Valdai International Discussion Club is intended to promote dialogue between Russian and international intellectual elite and make analysis of major political and socioeconomic events in Russia and other parts of the world. Endi
