Nepal has condemned Sunday's suicide bombing in Pakistan's provincial capital of Lahore that killed some 70 people.
"In line with its principled position, the government of Nepal holds the view that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations is deplorable and that terrorism must be dealt with firmly and resolutely," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement issued here on Monday.
"It also believes that the perpetrators of this terrorist attack will be brought to justice at the earliest," it added.
The Nepalese government also expressed its solidarity with the people and the government of Pakistan in its statement.
Meanwhile, Nepalese Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli on Monday telephoned his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif to express sorrow over the death of people in the bomb attack.
The blast, claimed by a Pakistani Taliban splinter group "Jamaat-ul-Ahrar," was carried out by a suicide bomber in a crowded public park in Lahore on Sunday evening. Nearly 70 people were killed in the attack, while more than 300 people were wounded. Endit
