Belarusian president voices support for Pakistan in opposing terrorism

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Monday expressed support for Pakistan in opposing terrorism.

Lukashenko expressed his deepest condolences to Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, as well as relatives and friends of those killed in the terrorist attack in Lahore, a city in Pakistan, Sunday evening, while wishing the injured a speedy recovery, said the press-service of the Belarusian leader said.

Belarus will always be in solidarity with Pakistan in uncompromising opposition to such crimes, said Lukashenko.

A suicide bomber hit a public park in Lahore Sunday evening, killing at least 72 people as of Monday morning, including a large number of women and children, and injuring more than 300 others, according to Pakistani officials. A Pakistan Taliban splinter group reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack. Endit
