Singapore stocks close 0.6 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 17.10 points, or 0.6 percent, to close at 2,830.29.

A total of 2.52 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 773.4 million Singapore dollars (564.5 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 195 to 182, while 544 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 34.59 points, or 1.20 percent, to close at 2,847.39 on Thursday. Enditem
