Xinhua, March 28, 2016 Adjust font size:

A passenger plane with 120 people on board on Monday made an emergency landing at Mumbai airport in India after smoke was detected in the undercarriage, local media reports said.

All 120 passengers and crew members on the flight were safely evacuated. The Air India flight AI-620 had took off from Hyderabad city.

Smoke was detected as the plane was preparing to make landing at the airport.

Media reports quoting officials said the emergency landing prevented a potential disaster and the plane was taken for a thorough checking to locate the snag.

The passengers were taken to arrival lounge of the airport. Endit
