Xinhua, March 26, 2016 Adjust font size:

One person was arrested early on Saturday after three explosions were heard on the outskirts of the Southeast Belgian city of Liege, L'Avenir newspaper reported.

The blasts have slightly injured one person and caused minor property damage, the report said, adding the motive behind the blasts remains unclear.

The first explosion occurred in the town of Angleur at 11:40 p.m. local time (2240 GMT) on Friday, hurting one and damaging the front door of a property.

Half an hour later, another explosion occurred in Beyne-Heusay, again in front of a house, and the third one was reported at 12:30 a.m. Saturday local time (2330 Friday GMT) in the middle of a street in Jupille.

Prosecutors will question the suspect on Monday, L'Avenir said. There is no confirmed link at this stage with Tuesday's attacks on the Belgian capital. Endi
