China donates electrical equipment to Myanmar flood-hit areas

China donated 36 million renminbi yuans (5.8 million U.S. dollars) worth of electrical equipment to Myanmar flood-hit areas on Friday.

The donated goods were handed over by Chinese ambassador Hong Liang to Myanmar Minister of Electric Power U Khin Maung Soe.

U Khin Maung Soe said at the handover ceremony that Myanmar is making the best use of the humanitarian assistance provided by China. With deep and close friendship, the friendly relations between the two peoples have been enhanced.

Chinese ambassador Hong said the deep Paukphaw friendship between the two countries will bring mutual benefit to their peoples and such friendship-based cooperation has scored success.

The electrical equipment from eight Chinese companies are being transported from China in three batches and the current batch worth of 15 million yuans is the first batch while the remaining batches will arrive in Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw by April and June. Endit
