Three Dutch nationals lost their lives during the attacks at the Zaventem airport in Brussels, the Dutch Foreign Ministry confirmed on Friday.
"My thoughts go out to the family and friends. I wish them much strength with this terrible loss. It is horrible that these people have been slain by the arbitrariness of terror," said Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders.
"Terrorism knows no boundaries and no compassion. The attacks on Tuesday in Brussels show this once again," he added.
The Dutch victims are a brother and sister in their twenties living in the United States, and a woman from the eastern Dutch city of Deventer.
In total 31 people were killed and more than 300 injured by the blasts at the airport and a metro station in Brussels. Endit
