China's Huawei launches partnership with Techno Brain in Ethiopia

Huawei, the Chinese leading global information and communication technology (ICT) solutions provider, and Techno Brain, Africa's leading custom software application provider, on Thursday signed partnership agreement that officially launched Huawei Authorized Learning Partnership (HALP) in Ethiopia.
Cooper Qu, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Huawei Ethiopia, and Mekonnen Tesafye, Country Director of Techno Brain Ethiopia, have signed the agreement for the partnership, whose main goal is knowledge transfer in the ICT sector.
Techno brain, as a HALP in Ethiopia, will offer different level and various package courses to all organizations, customers, partners, ICT practitioners and students.
Techno Brain will also provide Huawei certification including HCNA, HCNP, covering products lines such as networking, security, storage, cloud computing, IP telephony, video conference and data center among others.
Techno Brain, Ethiopia and Africa's leading education and training service provider, helps global enterprises, including Fortune 100 companies, by providing leading technology, consulting and outsourcing solutions, according to the joint statement released at the signing ceremony of the partnership agreement.
Headquartered in Kenya's Nairobi, Techno Brain has been operating since 1997 in different countries including Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, UAE, Uganda, UK, U.S., Zambia and Zimbabwe.

"This partnership allows us to give much needed training skills upgrade for ICT professionals in Ethiopia," said the Country Director of Techno Brain Ethiopia, "As we roll out our training course, we will be offering tailored trainings for specific business functions."
Mekonnen told Xinhua that the agreement would enable Techno Brain to provide certification trainings that enable trainees to become professional on Huawei's equipment.
"We just signed a contract with Huawei after going through a number of processes; and they (Huawei) have very serious evaluation to approve a particular authorized training center. They have checked a number of IT training center in the country and decided to work with Techno Brain," said Mekonnen.
"Primarily, it is a training; they (Huawei) have a couple of particular certification trainings to become a professional on Huawei's equipment; and it is more technical but it is a couple of certifications we provide that certification can only come through a proper training," he said.
Stating that Ethiopia is in a fast development phase in sectors like national infrastructure, education and information construction, Cooper Qu, said Huawei has already provided Ethiopia customers, in the past few years, with service in government, education transportation, and finance sector to set up advanced ICT infrastructure.
"With this partnership, Techno Brain and Huawei can provide the most advanced ICT learning platform to Ethiopian people, so that they can improve their professional ICT capacity and create more value to this country," he said.
The Deputy CEO told Xinhua"We do have a lot of technologies we want to bring to Ethiopia. We already achieved a lot in this market."
