Cambodian PM condemns Brussels attacks

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has strongly condemned the bombings in Belgium on Tuesday that killed at least 34 people and extended his deepest sympathy to the bereaved families.

"I was deeply shocked by the terrorist blasts, which hit Zaventem Airport and Maelbeek metro in Belgium on March 22, 2016. I strongly denounced this barbaric act of terror and violence, which claimed the life of more than 30 and seriously injured many others," he said in a condolence message sent to Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel on Wednesday and released to the media on Thursday.

"On this very sad moment, on behalf of the government and people of Cambodia, I would like to convey, through Your Excellency, to the bereaved families and the government of Belgium our deepest sympathy and profound condolences for the loss of innocent lives in the inhumane attacks," he said.

At least 34 people were killed and 180 others injured after explosions at Zaventem Airport and Maelbeek metro in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, on Tuesday. Endit
