Germany to support Albania in boosting investments

Xinhua, March 24, 2016 Adjust font size:

Albanian State Investment Development Agency (AIDA) has signed a memorandum of cooperation to further boost investments in Albania with the German Association for International Cooperation (GIZ), Albanian Telegraphic Agency reported on Wednesday

The memorandum signed by the head of AIDA Genti Beqiri and the GIZ director of the projects Proinvest and ProSME Katja Roeckel, will set the main pillars for the future support of GIZ towards AIDA.

"Over the last years, Albania has conducted a string of restructuring reforms in the field of economic policies with view to ensuring a sustainable economic growth and creation of new jobs, as well as made several efforts to improve the conditions for enhancement of competitive capacity of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises," AIDA said in a statement.

Since 2008, GIZ operates an office in Albania to support the country in the challenges it faces as it moves towards integration into the European Union. Endit
