The United States will increase participation in joint military drills with Georgia this year, visiting U.S. European Commander Philip Breedlove said here on Wednesday.
"This May the Noble Partner 2016 military exercise will bring Georgian, U.S., and UK soldiers together for three weeks to test our respective NATO Response Force capabilities," Breedlove, who is also NATO's supreme allied commander in Europe, said at a joint news conference after meeting Georgian Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli.
He said that this year's military exercise will be "bigger and better than last year's."
Breedlove also said that security situation across Europe becomes more and more complex as an aggressive Russia and mass migration and the Islamic State group posed main security challenges to the United States and its European allies.
Breedlove, who arrived in Tbilisi on Tuesday, is on a two-day visit to Georgia. Enditem
