Urgent: U.S. dollar rises against European currencies after Brussels attacks

The U.S. dollar increased against the euro and sterling on Tuesday as investors assessed impacts of explosions in Brussels that left at least 34 people dead and scores wounded.

In late New York trading, the euro fell to 1.1212 dollars from 1.1248 dollars in the previous session, while the dollar bought 112.41 Japanese yen, higher than 111.86 yen of the previous session. Endit
