Singapore stocks close almost flat

Singapore stocks finished almost flat on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 0.04 points, or 0.00 percent, to close at 2,880.65.

A total of 1.99 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.23 billion Singapore dollars (905 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 193 to 191, while 537 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 26.11 points, or 0.90 percent, to close at 2,880.69 on Monday. Enditem
