Dollar trades above 112 yen line in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar traded above the 112 yen line in early Tokyo trading on Tuesday.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 112.14-15 yen compared with 111.91-112.01 yen in New York at 5 p.m. on Monday.

The euro fetched 1.1235-1236 dollars and 125.98-126.00 yen against 1.1237-1247 dollars and 125.82-92 yen in New York late Monday afternoon.

Financial markets here were closed on Monday in Tokyo for a public holiday. Endit
