ALGIERS -- Algerian army troops on Monday killed six terrorists in El Oued province, 715 km southeast of Algiers, near the border with Tunisia, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

LONDON -- One person died and 12 people were injured after a "serious road crash" between a bus and a 4x4 vehicle in North Ayrshire on Scotland's west coast on Monday afternoon, local police said.

ANKARA -- Four soldiers of the Turkish security forces and one Turkish policeman were killed on Monday in attacks by the outlawed Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) militants in southeastern Turkey, local NTV news broadcaster reported.
