Cherry park to blossom in Sichuan

Xinhua, March 21, 2016 Adjust font size:

A 53-hectare cherry blossom park is to be opened in southwest China's Meishan City, Sichuan Province.

The park will include six km of river bank planted with cherry trees. Tens of thousands of 20 types of flowering cherry trees will be planted in the park over the next two years.

He Zongru, chairman of the China Cherry Industry Association, believes Meishan has natural advantages and is ideal for cultivation of cherry trees.

He said the association will fully support the city in its endeavors. Endi
