Bridge collapses in S. Vietnam, some feared missing

A barge bumped into a bridge On Sunday noon in Vietnam's southern Dong Nai province, making two of its spans collapse, several people fall into Dong Nai river and obstruct the North-South railway.

The sand-carrying barge broke the bridge's concrete pillar, and the span collapse made an unidentified number of motorbike riders fall into the river, local online newspaper Tien Phong (Pioneer) reported.

Local residents have rescued three riders, according to the newspaper.

At least five speed-boats of waterway police and rescue forces, as well as vessels of local residents have been actively searching for motorbike riders who were thought to have gone missing after the accident. Enditem
