The annual St. Patrick's Day Street Parade was held along the iconic Singapore River on Sunday, which offers opportunities to understand Irish culture.
The parade started at the Raffles Landing Site and ended off at UOB Plaza. People joining the parade were in green outfit.
First held in Singapore in 2005, the parade has been expanding in size and popularity yearly.
According to the organizer Singapore River One, this year's St. Patrick's Day Street Parade has been the largest in Singapore so far.
"People from all walks of life would have an opportunity to join in the merriment with fun activities and music, similar to how it is celebrated in Ireland and around the world," said Parade Chairman Colin MacDonald.
"the parade is a little taste of Irish tradition and culture that signifies Singapore's and Ireland's kinship and friendship."
Besides, three stages have been set up to present a wide range of traditional and contemporary Irish performances.
Families with children can enjoy various activities including face and nail painting, hair braiding and balloon sculpting.
Apart from the colorful St. Patrick's Day Street Parade and fun-filled activities, visitors may look forward to gastronomic treats with uniquely Irish specialties along Singapore River. Enditem
