Greece condemns terrorist attack in Istanbul, voices solidarity with Turkish people

Greece's Foreign Ministry condemned the latest terrorist attack in Istanbul on Saturday which caused at least five deaths and twenty injuries, voicing solidarity with the Turkish people.

"Greek people and the Greek government express their abhorrence at the new terrorist attack that took place today in Istanbul and resulted in the death and injury of innocent citizens," the e-mailed announcement read.

"Greece unequivocally condemns terrorism, whatever its source. We express our solidarity with the Turkish people and the deep condolences of the Greek people and the Greek government to the victims' families," the press release concluded. Endit
