A migration deal between the European Union (EU) and Turkey was adopted here by EU leaders on Friday, according to media reports.

"Deal with Turkey approval. All illegal migrants who reach Greece from Turkey, starting from March 20, will be returned," tweeted Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka during an ongoing summit. (EU-Turkey-Summit)

UNITED NATIONS -- UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday urged the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to comply with UN Security Council resolutions and to halt inflammatory and escalatory actions.

RIO DE JANEIRO -- Former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva could take up the post of chief of staff in the cabinet of President Dilma Rousseff following a judicial decision in his favor, official sources said Friday.

But hours later, the Supreme Court suspended his appointment.

Lula was nominated to his position on Wednesday, but federal judge Preta Neto issued an injunction Thursday to suspend the office of Lula as chief of staff in Rousseff's cabinet, saying it prevented free exercise of justice. (Brazil-Lula-Minister)

BRUSSELS -- Salah Abdeslam, a suspect in the Paris attacks in November of last year and the most wanted man in Europe, was arrested Friday in Belgium, Belgian federal police have confirmed.

Abdeslam was taken to Saint-Pierre University Hospital in Brussels to be treated for a gunshot injury to his leg, according to Belgian national television station RTBF. (Belgium-Abdelslam-Arrest) Endi
