Czech Republic, Belgium kick off joint exercise for helicopter pilots

Helicopter pilots from the Czech Republic and Belgium have kicked off a two-week exercise on Friday, the Czech Defense Ministry said in a statement on its website.

Pilots from both countries are expected to fly missions during night and over mountainous terrains. They will also be trained to prepare, plan and execute joint missions.

They will be trained to have tactical maneuvers against fighter jets, according to captain Ondrej Truxa, a helicopter pilot and coordinator of the exercise. Enditem
