British FTSE 100 rises 0.58 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.58 percent, or 35.52 points, to 6,175.49 points.

Share price of Hikma Pharmaceuticals increased by 5.46 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. St James's Place, Taylor Wimpey, Barratt Developments and Royal Dutch Shell B increased by 3.83 percent, 3.42 percent, 3.15 percent and 3.04 percent respectively.

TUI led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 5.40 percent, following by Antofagasta (3.33 percent), Shire (2.97 percent), Worldpay Group (2.52 percent) and Smiths Group (2.51 percent). Endit
