Xinhua, March 17, 2016 Adjust font size:

The 23rd international exhibition of security systems and equipment began here on Wednesday, featuring products of 140 companies from around the world.

The visitors of the four-day event could see video surveillance systems, personal protective equipment, USB devices for data storage with increased security and the machine used for fingerprint authentication.

Mobile phones which were made in Bulgaria with the highest level of protection and the encryption of voice calls also drew the attention of visitors in the Inter Expo Center.

Georgi Kostov, secretary general of the Bulgarian Interior Ministry, said that the exhibition has established itself as an important forum for the interaction between institutions and businesses on preventing and fighting crimes.

The Interior Ministry, which is the patron of the expo, also presented here its newest firefighting equipment and specialized machinery, Kostov said.

Tsvetan Simeonov, president of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said at the opening ceremony that several countries like France and Italy showed high-tech solutions, which can allow Bulgarian businesses to operate in a secure environment.

More than 8,000 experts from Bulgaria and 13 other countries and regions, such as Britain, Germany and Russia, visited the exhibition last year, the organizers said. Endit
