Germany's anti-migration party, the Alternative for Germany (AfD), has recorded remarkable gains in regional elections on Sunday and is able to break into three more German state parliaments, according to first projections.
Eligible voters have cast their ballots in the southwestern states of Baden-Wuerttemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate as well as eastern Saxony-Anhalt to elect three new regional parliaments. (Germany-AfD)

ANKARA -- A terror attack hit the Turkish capital Ankara on Sunday for the second time in less than a month, killing at least 34 people and injuring 125 others, including 19 in serious conditions, according to the Turkish health minister.
Authorities said around 18:45 local time (GMT 1845) a bomb-laden vehicle hit a city bus from the rear end near Guven Park area in downtown Ankara, close to government buildings and the Supreme Court, and triggered an explosion. (Turkey-Ankara-Explosion)

GRAND BASSAM, Cote d'Ivoire -- At least 14 civilians and two soldiers were killed as gunmen on Sunday attacked Cote d'Ivoire's beach resort of Grand Bassam, President Alassane Ouattara said.

NEW DELHI -- At least five children were killed and five others went missing Sunday after a boat carrying 13 children capsized in eastern Indian state of Bihar, officials said.
The boat capsized in the shallow waters near Kumhar Sang village in Begusarai district, about 121 km east of Patna city, the capital of Bihar. (India-Boat Capsizal) Endi
