Top 3 all win in Spanish La Liga

Real Madrid were fortunate to win 2-1 away at Las Palmas as Casimiro headed home the decisive goal in the last minute in the Spanish league on Sunday.

Sergio Ramos put Real Madrid ahead with a first half header, but Las Palmas controlled the second half and looked to get their reward when William Jose scored in the 87th minute to level the game 1-1. The last-minute defense lapse allowed Real Madrid's winner from Casimiro.

Barcelona maintained their eight point lead over Atletico Madrid as the reigning champions crushed a weak Getafe 6-0 Saturday following another excellent display from Leo Messi, who may have missed Barca's 8th penalty of the season, but compensated with three assists and a goal of his own.

Atletico Madrid produced a convincing display to defeat a toothless Deportivo la Coruna 3-0 in the vicente Calderon thanks to goals from Saul Niguez, Antoine Griezmann and Angel Correa.

Atletico were never in trouble against a side that has not won in 2016 and managed just one shot on target during the entire 90 minutes.

Sevilla kept their hopes of a return to the Champions League alive with a thrilling 4-2 home victory against fourth placed Villarreal.

Vicente Iborra put Sevilla ahead in the first half before a brace from Cedric Bakambu saw the visitors take a halftime lead, which vanished seven minutes after the break when Victor Ruiz turned the ball past his own keeper.

Yevhen Konoplyanka hit a wonderful 25 yard shot to restore Sevilla's lead and although Ever Banega was sent off with 10 minutes remaining, Jose Antonio Reyes netted the fourth in injury time.

Athletic Club Bilbao also closed in on fourth place as they steamrollered Betis 3-1 in San Mames. Sabin Merino scored twice for the Basques while Mikel Rico also got on the scoresheet, before Ruben Castro netted a late consolation for the visitors.

Levante gave themselves a relegation lifeline as Giuseppe Rossi's goal after 65 minutes gave them a well-deserved win in the local derby at home to Valencia.

Rossi reacted faster than anyone to score from a throw in as Gary Neville's Valencia produced another shambolic display.

Celta Vigo recovered from their 7-1 thrashing to Real Madrid a week ago with a 1-0 win at home facing Real Sociedad. Iago Aspes' first half goal was enough to give the side from Galicia all three points.

Rayo Vallecano and Eibar shared the points in a 1-1 draw which probably favored Eibar more than Rayo, who are still close to the relegation zone.

Ze Castro put Rayo ahead after seven minutes, but Escalante drew the score level before the break. Enditem
