Macedonian GDP grows by 3.9 pct in the Q4 of 2015

Macedonia's gross domestic product (GDP) in the fourth quarter of 2015 grew by 3.9 percent, the country's State Statistical Office (SSO) informed on Thursday.

According to the estimated data, in the fourth quarter of 2015, the biggest increases were registered in the construction sector, 33.7 percent, in financial and insurance activities, 14.9 percent, and in professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as in administrative and support service activities by 14.3 percent. Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, transportation and storage, accommodation and food service activities increased by 8.5 percent.

With regard to exports, a 7.4-percent increase was recorded, while imports increased by 12.6 percent. Endit
