Chinese shares open mixed on Thursday

Chinese stocks opened mixed on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.52 percent, at 2,847.57 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index opened 0.03 percent higher at 9,526.19 points. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 0.1 percent to open at 1,962.77 points. Endi
