An acrobatic show was organized here at Tuesday night to commemorate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Brunei.

The event began with a welcoming speech by Yang Jian, Chinese ambassador to Brunei, who said that the two countries have witnessed fruitful results in bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

"The Chinese government and people will continue to work for the expanding and deepening of the cooperation between the two countries so as to promote mutual benefits... The relations between China and Brunei will have broader prospects in the future," she added.

The speech was then followed by a set of colorful performances by the Jiangsu Acrobatic Troupe from China, which enthralled the audience, including foreign diplomats and Brunei government officials.

The show was hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Brunei, in collaboration with Brunei's Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Prior to the performances, Princess Hajah Masna toured an exhibition displaying history of the diplomatic relations between China and Brunei. Endit
