Indonesia calls for boycott of Israel's occupation policies, instead of products: official

Xinhua, March 8, 2016 Adjust font size:

Indonesian Presidential Spokesman Johan Budi said on Tuesday that Indonesia has called for the boycott of Israel's policies over its occupation of Palestine, but not Israeli products.

The spokesman made the statement following media reports saying Indonesian President Joko Widodo has called for the boycott of the products manufactured in Israel's occupied territories.

The president reportedly declared the boycott during the fifth Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Jakarta.

The summit, which ran from Sunday to Monday, concluded in the Jakarta Declaration, supporting the independence of Palestine. Endit
