SPP improves work following legislators' advice

Xinhua, March 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) announced on Friday it has replied to all 109 suggestions proposed during the third session of the 12th National People's Congress and improved work accordingly.

The SPP said it has conducted comprehensive communication with the deputies through various forms and channels, improved prosecuting job effectiveness, and have been highly acknowledged by them.

For example, on receiving the advice on duty crime prevention and crackdown on bribery, the SPP invited ten legislators to carry out field research along with the prosecutors in Jiangsu and Anhui province.

Acting on the suggestion from 23 deputies that manpower at grass-roots procuratorates should be strengthened, the SPP made a careful investigation into the issue with experts and brought forward solutions including transferring prosecutors at central or provincial levels to lower units for job rotation.

For suggestions that do not require face to face discussions, the SPP exchanged ideas with deputies via telephone calls or emails.

All of the answers to the suggestions, except those concerning state secrets, are made available to the public at the SPP's official website. Endi
