Advisory: Schedules for NPC, CPPCC annual sessions on March 5

Following are the schedules for the fourth sessions of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) and the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Saturday.

NPC:

-- The NPC annual session will open at 9 a.m. at the Great Hall of the People. Premier Li Keqiang will deliver a report on the government work.

NPC deputies will review the draft 13th five-year national development plan (2016-2020).

NPC deputies will examine a report on the implementation of the 2015 plan for national economic and social development, and on the 2016 draft plan for national economic and social development.

The deputies will also examine a report on the implementation of the central and local budgets for 2015, and on the draft plan of central and local budgets for 2016.

The meeting will be broadcast live via China National Radio, China Central Television (CCTV) and China Radio International. Major news portals will also cover the event.

-- Starting 3 p.m., NPC deputies will hold panel discussions about the report on the government work.

CPPCC:

-- At 9 a.m., members of the CPPCC National Committee will observe the opening meeting of the NPC session.

-- At 3 p.m., members of the CPPCC National Committee will hold panel discussions on the government work report. Endi
