Zhang Jingjing claimed the third gold medal for China in the women's 25m pistol final at the 2016 ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup here on Friday.

With all eight finalists coming from Asia, Zhang outscored Park Hyun Joo 8-4, the first-time finalist from South Korea, in the gold medal match to award China its third crown after Yang Haoran and Yi Siling took the first and second titles on Thursday.

"I am very, very happy! I work hard, and I always want to win more!" said the 27-year-old reigning world champion.

The 2008 air pistol Olympic champion Pang Wei and Wang Zhiwei, both of China, took the silver and the bronze in the men's 50m pistol final, which was won by Jitu Rai of India, the winner of 2014 Asian Games.

The 2016 ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup will continue on Saturday with two more golds on offer in the men's 50m rifle prone and men's 10m air pistol. Endit
