Ghana remains 41st position on FIFA world ranking

Xinhua, March 4, 2016 Adjust font size:

Ghana has maintained its 41st position on the March edition of the FIFA world ranking released on Thursday.

Black Stars lost 35 points to reduce its total point buildup from February's 691 to 656.

Ghana also maintained the fourth place on the continental ranking table behind Cape Verde, Cote d'Ivoire and Algeria.

Belgium, Argentina and Spain remained top three spots on the table.

The March edition of the FIFA ranking was marked by few changes in the top 50, with most teams yet to play in 2016.

According to FIFA, only 14 'A' matches were taken into account for the March ranking, all of which were international friendlies.

The total number of games played in 2016 currently stands at 58.

Ghana will play Mozambique later this month in the next round of qualifiers for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Endit
